Proxies
What are Proxies?
A proxy provides a gateway between users and the internet / site they're browsing. It is a server that goes between end-users and the web pages they visit online. When a computer connects to the internet, it uses an IP address.
Why do we use proxies?
The reason we use proxies is because if we were to run 1,000 tasks on local host (our home IP address) websites would soon flag this up and either ban you or cancel orders due to filtering by IP address. However, when we use proxies we trick the websites into thinking these 1,000 tasks are all from different computers.
What are the different types?
Proxies mainly come in the following types: residential, datacenter and ISPs.
Residential Proxies
Residential proxies will have a bandwidth limit, e.g. you purchase 5GB, this would mean you can typically generate your IP's to whichever location you chose, furthermore you can typically generate as many as you want. It is highly advised to test your residential proxies as many of these may be slow, banned or just dead.
Residential proxies are ideal for sites like Supreme because unlike other proxy types, this is because Supreme will clip Subnets which means often DC's and ISPs will not work from that subnet. Furthermore, residential allows us to create more IPs if our original ones get banned, but also allows us to run thousands of tasks. For example on Footlocker this is crucial since we are running thousands of tasks in the hopes of passing the queue.
Datacenter Proxies
Datacenter (DCs) proxies are purchased per individual IP, however in most cases your DCs will have unlimited bandwidth, this is ideal for sites like Footlocker where the drops can take hours and you're burning through your data. Datacenter proxies also tend to be better quality which is ideal for sites that have stricter bot requirements, for example Footlocker.
Datacenter proxies are extremely useful when running restocks, this is because you can set high delays and just leave these running for hours at a time without having to worry about burning data! However, like stated above, some sites like Supreme will click whole subnets which could leave all your proxies banned.
ISPs
ISPs tend to be the highest quality, this is because they are extremely close, if not the same as the average persons home IP. This is therefore ideal for sites with very strict requirements, also you will often find yourself passing the queue / having less issues with ISPs than any other proxy type. ISPs are pretty much the same concept as DCs, however they look far more like an average home computer rather than something that's being hosted in a data center.
ISPs can however come at a much higher cost due to looking far more human like than the other types, however once again they're ideal for running restocks and sites with very strict requirements.
