£1 fees guide!

What is the £1 eBay promotion?

Once you activate the promotion and list an item during the promotion, the max fee you will have to pay on the listings is £1! E.g. If you sold an £500 item on eBay which was listed during the promotion, you would only pay £1. Whereas if you sold the item and didn’t activate the promotion you would pay £50.

This will often be posted in #Member-important once they're live.

Now here is how to always get £1 fees on all your items, all the time.

Once the £1 promo is live, follow the instructions below.

  1. Create as many listings as possible. I usually create a listing of a bottle cap for sale. This listing will usually last for 30 days on your account.

  2. When you make the listing, put £10 as the price for the bottle cap. This way no one will buy it and your listing shouldn't be reported.

  3. Now, lets say you buy an item 2 weeks after you made your listing, all you have to do is go into your bottle cap listing and edit it as required. E.g. pictures, price, title and so on.

  4. Remember, the bottle cap listing is still under the £1 fees. All you are doing is making edits to the listing. This will not affect the £1 promo at all.

  5. If your listing expires, so will the £1 fee promo. Listings usually expire after 30 days. Be careful as eBay listings will usually renew so if this occurs, your re-listed bottle cap listing will have default 10% fees again!
